145 years of Meat Trading tradition 1872 - 2017

Danish Niels Thomsen overtook the 1872 established meat trading company Danielsen KG and relaunched it 30 years ago with the name Thomsen Import/Export.
Today the enterprise headquarter with 100 employees and debonig plant is situated in the industrial area Wellsee in Kiel, Germany.
In the 22.000 m² building, 25.000 t of beef and pork is annually processed. 

In 2004 Thomsen Im –und Export established its affiliate Thomsen Food Line A/S with its headquarter in Aarhus.
In the following years further subsidiarys were found in Singapore, China and Brazil.  Thomsen Food Line is specialised in worldwide trading of frozen meat. 

The company group delivers 50.000 t of meat p.a. to 40 countries. The IFS certified processing plant in Kiel supplies wholesalers and food retailers as well as the catering sector in all european countries by a modern fleet of temperature controlled trucks with meat products.  

The susatinable and consistent high quality is guaranteed and completely traceable by the securement of raw material through longterm partnerships with certified slaughterhouses, an internal quality department and regular audits.
